fk:marketing was formerly known as Ruthless Agencies. As a company, Ruthless Agencies was formed in 1992. It was set up by Graeme Freestone King in order to develop new products for the bicycle market. In 1999, Ruthless Agencies was incorporated into Multimedia IT Ltd, an IT company also owned by Graeme, as many of Multimedia's clients were also clients of Ruthless - a single point of contact for these clients was therefore logical. In 2005, as a result of demand for both our online and offline sales and marketing expertise, Ruthless was re-formed as fk:marketing to better describe what we do. We are a "virtual company" in that we don't physically handle the goods of our principals, and the partners in the company work from widely spread locations, connected via the web. Our head office is, therefore, not normally available to callers, but all of our brand product can be seen at a retailer fairly local to our head office - Michael's Cycles in Bedford. This is not out of any notion of snobbishness, just that we want consumers to be well served, and that service should include being sold appropriate products for a purpose by retailers with the technical and sales knowledge to do that job to the very highest standards. Hence, all of our "technical" brands are available only through retailers who have been through the "CyTech" accreditation process, which is the only accreditation with wide industry endorsement. We have, prior to taking on agencies for all of our products, enjoyed a long relationship with both the principals concerned and, in general, the reatilers who stock these brands, so we are happy to discuss the technical or sales aspects of all of our product, and to point consumers in the direction of the reatiler most likely to offer the best advice for consumer's needs.
