The Vista Magic X Road Pedal
The Vista Magic X is probably the first significant change in clipless pedals since the introduction of SPD.
The pedal features two key innovations: first, the platform of the pedal lays below the axis of the spindle, and second, the ball of the foot is moved forward relative to the pedal spindle, whilst keeping the shoeplate in the same place relative to the foot as we would normally expect. The end result is greater leverage over the gear, and a more stable foot position.
Features:
> Lightweight (110g)
> Precision built
> Sealed bearings
> Durable, Delta-fitting, steel shoeplate
> Ball of foot and pedal at the same height
> Foot set forward of pedal axle
Benefits:
> Increased leverage over the gear in the power stroke
> Shorter return path for the foot on the non-power stroke
> Virtual elimination of top- and bottom-dead-centre
> Foot fully stabilised
So, you ride further, faster for the same effort
SRP - £105.95 / pr incl. shoeplates. Spare shoeplates are available at £12.95 / pair.

We can also offer CNC machined chainrings that are ovalised to enhance the effects of the pedal design. Although the rider gains significant benefit from the pedals without the use of the matching chainring, the rings certainly add to the effect.
CNC machined rings are made from solid billet, rtaher than stamped from sheet material - hence they are more accurately made, more durable and generally stiffer than their cheaper, more commonplace relatives, the stamped chainrings, that so many manufacturers use.
Rings are available in:
> Outer: 49 x 110BCD, 52 & 53 x 130 or 135 BCD
> Inner: 36 x 110BCD, 39 & 42 x 130 or 135 BCD
SRP - Outer Chainrings £39.95 each, Inner chainrings £24.95 each

Bernard Hinault Rolls with Vista!
As noted in our News items, no lesser figure in French cycling than Bernard Hinault has ridden with, and endorsed the Vista pedal. Hinault, whose bikes are available through Minic 2000 in France, has had several pairs of Magic X pedals for evaluation during the course of 2006.
Hinault has always been keen to embrace new ideas, approaches and technologies, having been one of the first pros to consider riding position with great care and on a scientific basis, one of the first to use a skinsuit, an aero bike, and aero helmet, and of course to have been instrumental in the design and development of the Look pedal system.
Bernard Hinault and Claude Garnier of Vista rode together several times in December, with Hinault giving Claude the benefit of his views on the pedal system.
